Let's just agree that I dislike forced smiles. When I met Mickey, he was nothing like I imagined. During my research about him, the photos I did see really didn't seem to bring out the fact that he is an interesting character and yet very welcoming. Our first couple of photos, he beamed a great smile, but he seemed uncomfortable. But once I gave him permission to relax and told him that I find most smiling portraits uninteresting, he totally agreed and opened up.

The Technical Stuff: Photo taken with my Nikon D3S with ambient lighting. I was planning to bring in some strip lights but given the short amount time I had, I wanted more opportunity to shoot a few different locations in the store.
